Black jerseys will make their 2010 debut on Sunday

Breaking news, Ravens fans: the Ravens will break out their popular black jerseys for this first time this season on Sunday.

Live it up, Charm City.

The alternate jerseys, a favorite amongst the fan base, will make their 2010 season debut against the Buccaneers.

The color of the Ravens' pants that day, however, is still a secret for now. The team hasn't gone with their black jerseys and black pants since John Harbaugh was named head coach in 2008, as Harbs doesn't particularly like the look.

The last time that the Ravens wore their black jerseys was Week 15 last season against the Bears. Baltimore routed Chicago 31-7 in the black threads.

The Ravens will also wear the alternate jerseys Week 15 of this year against the Saints.

Linebacker Terrell Suggs sounded excited when informed of the Ravens' jersey color on Sunday, but he said he wished the team would have kept the black jerseys on hangers for one more week.

"I was waiting for Sunday night [against the Steelers]," Suggs said. "That would be a beautiful game to bring that out.

"I guess we're wearing the black. Bring it on, let's do it."
