Lawrence will remain on PUP, ending his season

The Ravens have decided to leave running back Matt Lawrence on the Physically Unable to Perform list with a knee injury, the team announced today.

That decision means that Lawrence, a second-year running back out of Massachusetts, will not play this season.

Lawrence appeared in eight games with the Ravens last season, seeing action mostly on special teams. He had four carries for zero yards and one reception for four yards in limited time on offense.

He suffered a knee injury in the Ravens' Week 9 game against the Bengals, and was put on season-ending Injured Reserve three weeks later.

The 25-year-old back hoped to return in time for training camp, but he was unable to get his knee healthy enough to practice. He has spent the entire season on PUP.
