Since I've been ripping off injury updates left and right, I figured I'd continue down that road and update the statuses of left tackle Michael Oher and strong safety Dawan Landry, both of whom left today's game against the Buccaneers due to injury and did not return.
Oher suffered a sprained right knee during the third quarter of the Ravens' win over Tampa Bay, and while the injury knocked him from the game, he was walking around without crutches or any type of brace after the game.
"I don't know what happened," Oher said. "I got pushed. I didn't even see it on the Jumbotron. I should be alright.
"It could have definitely been worse."
The second-year tackle said he initially thought the injury might have been bad, but he said he wasn't in pain after the game and sounded optimistic about his chances at coming back from the injury fairly quickly.
"I thought it could have been serious at the time, but nah, I'm good," he said.
As for Landry, the Ravens' safety said he was completely fine after suffering a concussion on a third quarter hit on Tampa Bay running back Carnell Williams.
Landry said he just got a little "dinged" on the hit and felt good after a few minutes.
"Yeah, I feel fine," he said. "I got kind of woozy on the play. I stayed down just to settle myself, but I was fine the whole time."
Landry delivered quite a pop to Williams, going in with his shoulder and knocking the Bucs' running back to the turf. The Ravens' safety was the one who took the brunt of the punishment, however.
The six-year veteran said he didn't remember the hit, but got positive reviews from his teammates.
"They say it was a good hit, so that's good," Landry said with a smile.
