Spitgate is now over, without a fine for McClain

We can put Spitgate behind us, folks.

The NFL has looked into the incident that took place on Sunday between Ravens fullback Le'Ron McClain and Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowder, and has determined that there was not visual evidence to back Crowder's claim that McClain spit in his face.

As a result, McClain will not be fined.

The league looked at video that was taken during an altercation between McClain and Crowder, and they also talked with officials, including referee John Parry, who was standing close to the players during the incident.

McClain expressed his satisfaction with the league's ruling in a Twitter post which read, "AMEN***"

The fullback is happy this incident is over, and frankly, so am I.

If I never have to write about the details of a loogie again, it will be too soon.
