It's a sad day in the NFL, as one lengthy consecutive games played streak will end tonight.
I'm referring, of course, to tight end Todd Heap.
What, did another NFL veteran have a streak end tonight as well?
Oh, some guy named Favre? Yeah, we'll hear enough about that later on.
Heap will miss tonight's game against the Texans because of a hamstring injury, ending a streak of 44 consecutive games played dating back to the 2007 season.
With the two-time Pro Bowler out, rookie Ed Dickson will start at tight end for the Ravens. It will be the Oregon product's first career start.
Cornerback Fabian Washington is also inactive for the Ravens because of a hamstring injury.
Here is the Ravens' full list of inactives: CB Fabian Washington, FB Jason McKie, LB Jason Phillips, LB Dannell Ellerbe, OL Bryan Mattison, DT Arthur Jones, TE Todd Heap and DT Lamar Divens.
