The folks over at Bodog.com have set the line for Sunday night's game between the Ravens and Steelers, and not surprisingly, as the home team, Baltimore is being given the slight edge.
The Ravens are currently favored by three points over Pittsburgh, which seems like a fair line to me. In toss-up type games, the home team is often given a three-point advantage. This is certainly a toss-up type game.
I'm not a betting man, but even if I was, I might shy away from putting some money on that line. These games are always tough to pick.
Bodog has also provided a handful of prop bets. Here are a few of the ones I find interesting:
- The Steelers are favored to have a higher local TV rating (Pittsburgh is -140, while Baltimore is Even)
- Will the winner of the Ravens/Steelers Week 13 game reach the Super Bowl? (Yes: +300, No: -500)
- Will the Ravens/Steelers Week 13 game be decided by a score in the last two minutes of regulation time? (Yes: +150, No: -200)
- The Over/Under of 15-yard penalties called during the game is set at 1.5
Give me the over on that final prop bet. I think there's always a good chance of a few personal fouls when these two teams meet.
If Bart Scott was still in town, the chances might be a bit higher.
Meanwhile, the Ravens are currently being given 17/2 odds of winning the Super Bowl, up from 11/1 at the start of the season.
The Steelers are listed at 8/1 odds to win the Super Bowl.
