This time, they close it out; Ravens top Saints 30-24

Boy, it's too bad the Ravens haven't had any exciting games lately.

The Charm City faithful have been through their share of thrillers this season, and a few of them have ended in heartbreak.

This afternoon's game against the defending Super Bowl champion Saints didn't, and now Baltimore is closing in on securing a playoff birth for a third straight season.

After seeing another fourth quarter lead disappear in dramatic fashion when New Orleans scored a game-tying touchdown off a tipped pass, the Ravens regrouped and pulled out a dramatic 30-24 win.

Ray Rice ran for 153 yards and a touchdown, added 80 receiving yards and another touchdown through the air, and his 50-yard run mid-way through the fourth quarter set up Billy Cundiff's game-winning 32-yard field goal.

The Ravens had to get a big play out of their defense late in the game to clinch the win, and they got it when defensive tackle Haloti Ngata tipped Drew Brees' fourth down pass at the line of scrimmage, and defensive end Cory Redding picked it off with under two minutes left.

Cundiff added another chip-shot field goal to ice it, and the Ravens earned a huge win over a previously 10-3 Saints team who entered today on a six-game win streak.

Baltimore is now 10-4 on the season, and will travel to Cleveland next week to take on the Browns.
