Modell not among 15 Hall of Fame finalists

Another year will pass without Art Modell entering the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Modell, the former Ravens majority owner and current minority owner, was not among the 15 finalists that will be considered for election to the Hall of Fame when the Hall's selection committee meets in North Texas in early February.

The Ravens have two players with ties to the franchise that are among the 15 finalists - cornerback Deion Sanders and tight end Shannon Sharpe.

Sanders finished his career with the Ravens from 2004-2005, while Sharpe was with the organization from 2000-2001 and was on the Ravens' lone Super Bowl team.
