The Ravens released veteran fullback Jason McKie the week leading up to their playoff game against the Steelers.
Now, with Le'Ron McClain set to be a free agent, they've brought McKie back.
The team announced that they've McKie, a nine-year veteran who was on the Ravens' roster for seven weeks during the 2010 season (six of which were during the regular season). McKie did not appear in a game during that time.
McKie was signed mid-season to provide insurance behind McClain, after the Ravens' starting fullback suffered an ankle injury in a Week 12 win over the Buccaneers.
A longtime member of the Chicago Bears, McKie is now the only fullback on the Ravens' roster. McClain will become a free agent once a collective bargaining agreement is signed.
Depending on the rules in the new CBA, McClain could be a restricted free agent, or he could become unrestricted.
