Manager Dave Trembley went to his bullpen again in the bottom of the fourth, bringing in left-hander Mark Hendrickson to start the inning.
Koji Uehara was removed after one inning and eight pitches. I guess Trembley wanted him to leave on a high note.
The Rays extended their lead to 3-1 on doubles by Evan Longoria and Pat Burrell. Right fielder Lou Montanez had trouble tracking Longoria’s fly ball and couldn’t get to it. Burrell’s hit was legit.
Sean Rodriguez just walked, so the rally continues. First and second, one out and Kelly Shoppach at the plate.
Update: Shoppach struck out, but Reid Brignac lined a run-scoring single to right. The Rays are up, 4-1.
Ty Wigginton singled with one out in the top of the fourth and Scott Moore followed with a walk, but the Orioles couldn’t score.
