Orioles-Twins game canceled

SARASOTA, Fla. - The Orioles were supposed to play twice today. They got shut out without taking the field.

Scheduled games against the Phillies this afternoon in Clearwater and the Twins tonight in Sarasota have been canceled due to inclement weather. There are no makeup dates.

Steve Johnson will join Brian Matusz and Kevin Gausman Tuesday at the Ed Smith Stadium complex, where they will pitch against Twins Triple-A and Double-A players. One game will be held in the stadium, the other on the Camden Yards replica field. They’re closed to the public.

Fans holding paid tickets for tonight’s game may exchange them for any of the remaining spring training games at Ed Smith Stadium, subject to availability, or obtain a refund.

Also, the St. Patrick’s Day green and black caps the Orioles were to wear tonight will be worn in Wednesday’s game against the Rays. The caps will be autographed afterward and auctioned online at www.orioles.com/auction to benefit the animal hospitals at Mote Marine Laboratory.

On non-game days, tickets may be exchanged at the stadium box office from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. On the day of a game, beginning two hours prior to game time, tickets may be exchanged for that game only at the ticket windows. Fans who would like to exchange their tickets for a prime game will be required to pay the difference in cost.

To obtain a refund for paid tickets, fans should send the original game tickets via certified mail to:

The refund check for the face value of the tickets will be mailed from Baltimore within six to eight weeks. Tickets must be postmarked no later than 30 days after today’s date.
