Bundy has been shut down with tightness in his right elbow, but he's been pain-free and symptom-free for a while, according to manager Buck Showalter.
"They've just been doing some stuff to make sure it doesn't occur again, hopefully," Showalter said. "He's going to be on the mound mid to the end of next week, I think."
Steve Johnson threw a bullpen session yesterday and is still lined up to make his first injury rehab start for Triple-A Norfolk on Wednesday in Charlotte.
Oliver Drake (Navy), who underwent surgery to repair a torn labrum, will throw live batting practice on Tuesday.
"That's a big step, where he's coming from," Showalter said.
Norfolk first baseman Travis Ishikawa broke his nose last night while breaking up a double play. Not sure if that's irony, but it's definitely painful.
Mike Bordick may head down to Sarasota and work with Brian Roberts, who's rehabbing his right knee and is getting close to doing baseball activities.
