Nick Markakis had three hits and has reached base in 33 consecutive games, the longest current streak in the Majors. It’s one game off his career high. Ichiro and Ryan Zimmerman each reached base in 43 consecutive games earlier in the year.
Markakis is 10 for 25 during a six-game hitting streak and is batting .346-5-21 with nine doubles since the All-Star break.
