On the farm (another Luke homer)

Nate Moreau, who pitched a no-hitter for Frederick on June 30th at Salem, in his first start with the Keys, tonight struggled vs. Lynchburg at Harry Grove Stadium.

He entered this start with an ERA of 1.89 in his first three Frederick starts, but gave up seven runs and seven hits over 3 2/3 innings. He allowed five runs in the first inning and has given up four homers after not allowing one over 19 frames in those first three starts.

Tyler Townsend, who went 0 for 7 in his first two Frederick games, is 0 for 2 tonight.

Meanwhile, L.J. Hoes is 2 for 3 with a pair of singles and an RBI for Double-A Bowie.

Mike Flacco moved to Delmarva to play first base when Townsend went to Frederick. In his first game this year with the Shorebirds on Sunday, Flacco went 3 for 3 with a double and RBI. Tonight, in game one of a doubleheader, he is 1 for 1 with four walks.

Luke Scott just hit a two-run homer in Toronto. It's 8-4 Jays now. That is Scott's fifth homer in his last seven games. He now has an 11-game batting streak dating to late June before he went on the DL.
