Tonight’s pitching matchup does not favor Bowie, if past performance is any indication. Ryohei Tanaka, who pitches for the Baysox tonight, is 7-12, 5.86 on the year, but is just 1-5, 8.80 in six starts vs. Richmond. Flying Squirrels pitcher, lefty Clayton Tanner, is 9-8, 3.58 this year with the 8th best ERA in the league. He is 4-1, 2.97 in six starts vs. the Baysox in 2010.
Eddie Gamboa is scheduled to start tomorrow for Bowie followed by Steve Johnson Sunday and then Pedro Viola in the regular season finale on Monday afternoon.
