Tuesday’s Nats vs. Giants in-game thread

SAN FRANCISCO - Welcome to MASN’s live thread for today’s Nationals-Giants game at AT&T Park. I’ll have updates and analysis throughout the game, and whether you’re just watching the game on TV or following online, you can participate by commenting in this thread. Or, if you’re on Twitter, you can tag tweets with #masnnats, and they’ll be included in the chat.

If you want to participate in the chat via our Gamezone space, which includes live stats, matchup data, pitch tracking and more, head here. And if you’re not into in the live chat experience, that’s fine, too; I’ll provide periodic updates below the chat window.

Thru 3: Livan Hernandez and Todd Wellemeyer are trading zeros on a foggy night here in San Francisco. Hernandez gave up a leadoff hit to start the game, but has set down nine straight since then. The Nationals endured a scary moment in the top of the second when Roger Bernadina got drilled on the right knee by a pitch and writhed in pain at home plate for a minute. But he walked it off, went to first and stayed in the game. We’re starting the top of the fourth with the game still scoreless.
