Wednesday’s Nats vs. Braves in-game thread

Welcome to MASN’s live thread for tonight’s Nationals-Braves game at Nationals Park. I’ll have updates and analysis throughout the game, and whether you’re just watching the game on TV or following online, you can participate by commenting in this thread. Or, if you’re on Twitter, you can tag tweets with #masnnats, and they’ll be included in the chat.

If you want to participate in the chat via our Gamezone space, which includes live stats, matchup data, pitch tracking and more, head here. And if you’re not into the game chat experience, that’s fine, too - I’ll provide some periodic updates below the chat window.

Thru 4: It’s been an eventful evening so far. Both teams have hit homers, there have been three lead changes and we’re currently tied at three. Luis Atilano started off wild, walking three of the first six batters he faced, and still hasn’t settled in. The concern for the Nationals would be if Tommy Hanson has; they scored three off him in the first two innings, but he’s only given up a couple isolated hits since. Tyler Walker is warming up for the Nationals early in the fifth, and like last night, the Nationals need another inning from their starter to keep the game close. Ian Desmond hit his second homer in as many nights, blasting a solo shot to left to lead off the second inning.
