Riggleman says Strasburg likely shut down for 10 days

Appearing on XM Radio this morning, Nationals manager Jim Riggleman said Stephen Strasburg, who was scratched on Tuesday night with left shoulder inflammation, would likely be shut down for 10 days.

Strasburg’s next scheduled start is Sunday against the Phillies, but that start, and his next one against the Dodgers on August 6, don’t appear likely.

More on this in a little bit. Riggleman is scheduled to speak to the media in a few minutes.
