Nationals-Pirates lineups for Friday

Evidently, Nyjer Morgan is appealing his eight-game suspension for his role in Wednesday’s brawl against the Marlins; he’s in the Nationals’ lineup tonight in Pittsburgh, batting leadoff in the first of three against the Pirates. Danny Espinosa also gets his first start in the majors, batting eighth, and Roger Bernadina sits against Pirates lefty Zach Duke

Here are the lineups for both teams:

Nationals:
Morgan - CF
Desmond - SS
Zimmerman - 3B
Dunn - 1B
Morse - RF
Rodriguez - C
Maxwell - LF
Espinosa - 2B
Hernandez - P

Pirates:
McCutchen - CF
Tabata - LF
Walker - 2B
Jones - 1B
Alvarez - 3B
Doumit - C
Bowker - RF
Cedeno - SS
Duke - P

Western Pennsylvania native Kristen Hudak is in Pittsburgh for the series this weekend, so she’ll have updates on her blog throughout the weekend. If you ignore the gushing about Pittsburgh’s fine cuisine (do pierogies count?), its natural beauty (huh?) and its rich sports heritage (12 NFL championships>6, and don’t the Pirates play there?), you should be fine.
