Tonight’s Nationals-Braves game canceled

VIERA, Fla. - The Nationals’ 6:05 p.m. game with the Braves, their second-to-last of the spring, has been canceled because of rain.

The team will play its final game of the Grapefruit League schedule against the Mets tomorrow at 12:05 p.m.

Tom Milone was scheduled to pitch for the Nationals, but they’ll likely use Jordan Zimmermann in their final spring game tomorrow.

The canceled game also means the Nationals, who are currently 15-13 this spring, will finish above .500 for the first time in spring training. It’s a good thing I brought a raincoat to the stadium today; I’ll need it to go in that champagne-soaked clubhouse.

In reality, though, the Nationals will have a few more roster cuts today, and I’ll have more when those happen.
