Ramos jumps ahead of Morse in Nationals’ lineup vs. Phillies

Good afternoon from Nationals Park, where the Nationals are getting ready to take on the Phillies in the last of three games between the teams tonight at 7:05 p.m. Michael Morse is back in the Nationals’ lineup, but the left fielder - who’s hitting just .148 in 10 games this season - will hit a spot lower than he has been early this year. He’ll bat sixth, while Wilson Ramos hits fifth as the Nationals try to beat Phillies starter Cliff Lee. Manager Jim Riggleman had said Adam LaRoche could bat fifth against left-handers, but he’s still in the cleanup spot tonight against Lee, probably partially because the Nationals don’t have anyone else they feel they could put there.

Here are the lineups for both teams:

Victorino - CF
Polanco - 3B
Rollins - SS
Howard - 1B
Francisco - RF
Ibanez - LF
Ruiz - C
Valdez - 2B
Lee - P

Desmond - SS
Ankiel - CF
Werth - RF
LaRoche - 1B
Ramos - C
Morse - LF
Espinosa - 2B
Hairston - 3B
Zimmermann - P
