Nationals-Braves lineups for Tuesday

As the Nationals begin a three-game series with the Atlanta Braves, trying to win at least two to walk away with a 4-5 record on one of their toughest road trips of the year, they’ll do so without Michael Morse in left field again. Laynce Nix gets another start in left as the Nationals face Tim Hudson at 7:10 p.m.

One of the knocks on Morse before this season was that he didn’t fare well against the best pitchers in the game. But Hudson is one of the top-end starters he’s actually hit respectably well; Morse has an .814 lifetime OPS against Hudson in 14 plate appearances. Nix, however, has been even better against Hudson; he’s got an impressive .929 OPS against Hudson in the same number of plate appearances.
