The Nationals’ winning streak is over after eight games. And the way it ended ran counter to almost everything about the way they’ve been playing during that run.
They lost 7-4 to the Orioles on Sunday afternoon, with Tom Gorzelanny giving up five runs (four earned) in his first start back from the disabled list. The Nationals made three errors, after having committed just one in the last 15 games.
The loss drops the Nationals back to two games under .500, and means they’ll have to wait at least a couple more days to try and reach .500.
More from the clubhouse in a little bit.
