Nats fall 4-0 to the Diamondbacks

The offense of the Nationals was slowed down by Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Josh Collmenter. Washington was able to muster three hits all night.

Nats starter Yunesky Maya pitched 4 1/3 innings, giving up four earned runs, including a home run to Chris Young. He left the game in the fifth inning with the bases loaded.

Left-hander Doug Slaten let the inherited runners in, but Young’s second inning homer proved to be enough for Arizona.

The Nationals will try to get back to their winning ways tomorrow night with Livan Hernandez on the mound.
