Once again, the Nationals couldn’t win with Stephen Strasburg on the mound. And once again, the Florida Marlins proved they can have their way at Nationals Park.
After the Nationals failed to score enough runs to lift Strasburg to a victory - despite the right-hander allowing one run in six innings - they went another seven innings without scoring after Strasburg left the game. Collin Balester gave up three runs in the 13th, his third inning of work, and the Nationals lost 4-1.
it was the Marlins’ 26th win in 34 games at Nationals Park, and even without franchise player Hanley Ramirez or staff ace Josh Johnson, they’ve guaranteed themselves another series win here.
More from the clubhouse in a little bit.
