I've confirmed Stephen Strasburg will make his Nationals debut March 9 at Space Coast Stadium against the Tigers.
If you're interested in going to that game, I suggest you get your tickets soon. He'll only pitch a couple of innings, but it will be as momentous an occasion as you can find in spring training, and I'm sure it will be treated as such. It's a big moment for the team.
There's an off day on March 18, but if the Nats keep Strasburg on an every-fifth day schedule, he'd face the Tigers (March 9), Cardinals (March 14) and Cardinals again (March 19), all at Space Coast Stadium.
There's a decent chance he's sent to the minors before all that, but if you do the math, it makes sense for him to get three starts at Space Coast, and then head to the minors.
I'll also have a story later today on Matt Chico, who is very much in the mix for a rotation spot after missing half of 2008 and all of 2009 with Tommy John surgery.
Chico's been something of a forgotten man the last two years, but he did make 31 starts with a 4.63 ERA in 2007. He could steal one of the last spots in the rotation.
That's all for now. Any other questions or comments can go here, or in the other thread. Ask, and I'll tell you what I know, or find it out.
