Hey everybody--don't have any Nats news for you this afternoon, and I don't expect there to be any, because the sports world is focused on other things. So I'm writing for another reason: I'm curious to hear your Super Bowl predictions. And I'm not just talking about the score.
Any stabs at The Who's halftime set list? Over/under on the number of times we see Peyton Manning in commercials? MVP guesses? Will either of these teams run for more than 100 yards?
Consider this your spot to leave your own predictions and prop bets, though I can't put up any money for you. I'm just curious to hear how everybody's leaning on this game.
I'm rooting for the Saints--I'm an NFC guy, I'm grateful to them for exposing Brett Favre in the playoffs (once again), and I'm hoping New Orleans will get to celebrate a championship. But my guess is they won't be able to stop Manning for four quarters, unless they can confuse him with coverages (which I think will work better than bringing a ton of pressure). So I'm calling it Colts 34, Saints 28 in an entertaining game.
And for the record: "Baba O'Riley"/"Pinball Wizard"/"My Generation"/"Won't Get Fooled Again," and Manning shows up a half-dozen times in commercials.
