Right fielder Elijah Dukes was scratched from the Nationals' lineup today because of a left toe issue that cropped up after he got hit in the foot with a pitch on March 8. The injury isn't considered serious, but with the Nationals taking a wet field today at Osceola County Stadium, manager Jim Riggleman said he didn't want to take any chances.
"He's got a little ailment in his foot, nothing serious. He's got the knee issue that goes on sometimes," Riggleman said. "We just felt like, 'You know what? Let's just wait until tomorrow, put him out there, and hopefully these fields are dried up by tomorrow."
Here is the full lineup for the Nationals today:
Olsen, Storen, Capps, Chico and Burnett will pitch for the Nationals.
