Rain has gotten the best of the Nationals and Astros here today - the game was called off at 12:22, and there won't be a makeup.
The Nationals face the Yankees tomorrow in Viera at 1:05. That game will be on MASN and MASN HD, though the forecast isn't good for that game, either.
Fans who had tickets to today's game can exchange them for seats to any other 2010 Nationals spring home game, subject to availability. Friday's game against the Yankees is already sold out.
John Lannan and Craig Stammen, who were both supposed to pitch today, are throwing simulated games in the bullpen. That means Jason Marquis and Matt Chico will go tomorrow as scheduled, and Stephen Strasburg and Livan Hernandez are still on track for Sunday.
Manager Jim Riggleman sent some of his relievers to the bullpen to get some throwing work in as well.
"You can't fight it," he said, "and it won't be the last day of the spring, probably, that we deal with it."
Not a whole lot else to discuss from here today, so I'm going to head out in search of a television and try to pull a satellite TV miracle. My alma mater, Apple Valley High School, is in the Minnesota state hockey tournament for the first time since 1996, and the game is on a local station in the Twin Cities. I can listen to it on the radio if I can't find it on TV, but I'm going to give it a shot. Talk to you later. Go Eagles!
