Just got home from dinner with my wife and a couple great friends - taking most of a night away from baseball for the first time in a while. So then I get home, flip the game on and get caught up. Gee, I guess Ryan Zimmerman's back, huh?
Another good night for Scott Olsen - six shutout innings and only 26 batters faced. If he can keep this up, the Nationals' rotation changes immensely. In the last two weeks, John Lannan has actually been the Nationals starter who's struggled the most, and even he hasn't been bad.
That's most of what I can gather from the box score. So help me out - post your observations below and let me know the finer points of what I missed.
Oh, and the restaurant in question is Sfizi in Fairfax - great little Italian market and restaurant. They make just about everything from scratch, and have an "open kitchen" philosophy; essentially, the menu is just the basics, and they'll make pretty much anything you want. The first time I went there, the owner was waiting on us. I told him what I wanted, and he said, "No you don't. This will be better." And he was right.
That's enough of my plug. Leave your comments on the game here.
