Welcome to MASN's discussion thread for today's Nationals-Astros game at Minute Maid Park. I'm flying back from San Diego to Washington, but you're welcome to discuss the game here, and I'll respond to your comments assuming they've got wifi on the plane.
The Nats get a look at Roy Oswalt, the Astros ace they're rumored to be inquiring about in trade talks. But that also means another tough pitching matchup for a struggling offense that's run into quite a few of those lately.
First pitch is at 2:05 Eastern. Discuss the game here, and I'll respond when I can.
UPDATE AT 4:26: Checking in quick from O'Hare during a layover. It appears the Nationals aren't having much trouble in Houston today. They're up 11-2 in the seventh, and Jim Riggleman's tinkering with the top of the lineup has paid off. Nyjer Morgan is 2-for-2 with a walk and three runs, and Cristian Guzman is 3-for-5 from the leadoff spot. The Nationals also benefited from an early ejection for Roy Oswalt, who was tossed in the third for arguing balls and strikes. But it appears they're on their way back to .500, and off to a good start in Houston.
