Saturday's Nats vs. Marlins in-game thread

Welcome to MASN's live thread for today's Nationals-Braves game at Nationals Park. I'll have updates and analysis throughout the game, and whether you're just watching the game on TV or following online, you can participate by commenting in this thread. Or, if you're on Twitter, you can tag tweets with #masnnats, and they'll be included in the chat.

If you want to participate in the chat via our Gamezone space, which includes live stats, matchup data, pitch tracking and more, head here. And if you're not into the game chat experience, that's fine, too - I'll provide some periodic updates below the chat window.

Thru 5: Matt Chico couldn't have begun his first big-league start in two years much worse than he did. His first pitch of the game hit leadoff hitter Cameron Maybin in the foot, and he threw a wild pitch that moved Maybin to second. Chico got over the initial nerves, though, and has pitched rather well; he hasn't allowed a run in his first five innings. He's done what he does best, painting the black with breaking pitches, pitching inside effectively and changing speeds. The Nationals scored three in the fourth inning off Josh Johnson, with Willie Harris' two-run homer punctuating the inning, and lead 3-0.
