Fox picked up tomorrow's Nationals game against the Chicago White Sox, thinking Stephen Strasburg would be pitching. Now, it appears they've added another Nats game to their TV slate.
The Nationals' schedule shows the July 3 game against the Mets will start at 4:10 p.m. It was previously scheduled for 7:05 p.m., but Fox picked it up to move it into its national TV window.
If Strasburg stays on his every-five-days schedule, he'd be slated to pitch that day against the Mets. That possibility, coupled with a D.C.-New York matchup on Fourth of July weekend, seems like an appetizing one for Fox.
Per Fox's agreement with MLB, that game won't be broadcast on MASN. And for our own Kristen Hudak, who loves 4:00 Saturday games more than anything in the world, it means the Nationals are playing on Saturday afternoon three weeks in a row.
