Dunn gossip, from Baltimore

I decided to head up the road today and catch the Orioles and Rays, and caught up with a couple National League scouts before the game. The consensus from Baltimore continues to be that despite all the talk about the Nationals listening to offers for first baseman Adam Dunn, he's not going anywhere.

One longtime scout said he thinks the Nationals will still wind up resigning Dunn, either with an extension later in the season or a new contract after it. The Nationals' price on Dunn remains high, and industry sources continue to see it being difficult for general manager Mike Rizzo to get what he deems a fair price for Dunn. And one scout thought the well-known fact Dunn doesn't want to DH will limit his market, keep his price from spinning out of control and allow the Nationals to resign him.

So that's the word from here. I'll keep you posted if anything changes.
