The Nationals revealed the final pieces of their second-half rotation this afternoon; manager Jim Riggleman said Craig Stammen will pitch the Nationals' third game after the All-Star break next Sunday against the Marlins. J.D. Martin will pitch the team's first game in Cincinnati on Monday.
So the full rotation after the break looks like this: Stephen Strasburg, Livan Hernandez, Stammen, Martin and Luis Atilano, who Riggleman re-affirmed will be called up after the break.
Also, Jordan Zimmermann was at the park today, and talked to reporters for a few minutes. He said he's still eyeing an August return from his Tommy John rehab, which would put him back in the majors 12 months after the surgery. He said he's hoping to be throwing five innings and 80 pitches by the time he gets to the majors, and it's likely the Nationals will keep his workload in that range once he's back in the majors, as well.
