Zimmerman second in Final Man Vote

Ryan Zimmerman won't be going to his second consecutive All-Star Game.

The Nationals third baseman finished second in the National League's Final Man Vote, losing the race for the final spot on the NL roster to Cincinnati's Joey Voto, who led all vote-getters with 13.7 million votes.

Zimmmerman made a strong push, hitting three homers since the ballot was announced, but with Votto leading the NL in most statistical categories, he benefitted from a surge of momentum after being left off the initial roster.

Yankees outfielder Nick Swisher won the AL vote.
