Jordan Zimmermann strong through three vs. Marlins

Jordan Zimmermann, making his second start of the season after returning from Tommy John surgery, looks much better so far than he did in his first outing. Zimmermann has allowed one hit in his first three innings against the Marlins, striking out three batters. The Nationals and Marlins are scoreless in the top of the fourth.

Zimmermann's fastball is sitting in the low 90s, topping out around 94 mph. That's a hair slower than he typically throws, but he's gotten strikeouts on both his curveball and slider. He's only thrown his changeup once, against a lineup with three lefties. But Zimmermann has thrown just 38 pitches in three innings, and could get through six innings if he keeps that pace up.
