Josh Willingham has succesful surgery

Nationals outfielder Josh Willingham had successful surgery on Wednesday to clean up cartilage damage in his left knee. Willingham was put on the disabled list with a torn medial meniscus last week, and team trainer Lee Kuntz said the surgery, performed by Dr. Wiemi Douoguih, filed down and smoothed out rough edges in the outfielder's cartilage. Willingham is slated for a four-to-six week rehab, and should be ready for spring training.
