Maya throws three no-hit innings in debut

Right-hander Yunesky Maya, the Cuban pitcher who signed a four-year deal with the Nationals last month, made his debut in the organization today, throwing three no-hit innings for the Nationals' rookie ball team in the Gulf Coast League.

He got eight groundouts and struck out one batter. He could make another start for the GCL team before moving up in the minor leagues, and it's possible he will pitch in the majors for the Nationals before the end of the season.
