Strasburg's return a downer for Nationals

Getting Stephen Strasburg back on the mound was supposed to give the Nationals reason for optimism. Instead, his return turned into one of their ugliest games in recent memory.

Strasburg lasted just 4 1/3 innings, and the Nationals managed just five hits against Marlins starter Anibal Sanchez in an 8-2 loss to Florida. It was Strasburg's shortest start in the majors, and the Nationals left eight men on base.

Ivan Rodriguez scored both of the Nationals' runs, and Ryan Zimmerman had their only extra-base hit. I'll have more from downstairs shortly.
