Welcome to MASN's discussion space for tonight's Nationals-Marlins game at Nationals Park. I'll post updates, analysis and reaction here throughout the night. If you'd like to discuss the game, leave your comments here, and I'll respond to you there.
9:49 p.m: We're in the top of the third inning, and the Marlins lead the Nationals 2-0. Mike Stanton, who went 5-for-5 on Wednesday, homered in his first at-bat off Livan Hernandez. It was initially ruled a triple, but replays showed it cleared the padding on the wall in right center before bouncing back into play. Stanton has now hit in six straight at-bats, and has eight hits in the series. Add Stanton, Logan Morrison, Gaby Sanchez (and when he returns next year) Chris Coghlan to a lineup that already includes Hanley Ramirez and Dan Uggla, and this team is going to be scary good for a long time.
9:53 p.m.: Cody Ross singles up the middle to score Morrison, and it's 3-0 Marlins. I also just posted this story on Josh Willingham's knee. Essentially, an MRI has shown some issues around his meniscus, but doctors have not determined that it is torn, according to what Willingham told MASN's Debbi Taylor. He also denied an earlier report that he had a torn meniscus.
10:24 p.m.: Michael Morse strikes out, fishing at a Ricky Nolasco slider, and Adam Kennedy does the same on a curveball in the dirt. The Nationals strand a runner on second with one out, and still trail the Marlins 3-0 after four innings.
10:53 p.m.: The Nationals load the bases in the fifth for Adam Dunn - and he strikes out to end the inning. Dunn entered the night hitting .238 with men on base and .212 with runners in scoring position this year. He's 0-for-2 in those situations tonight.
