Nationals lead Astros 5-2

The Nationals have scored four runs in the sixth inning, getting a pair of RBI each from Michael Morse and Roger Bernadina, and lead the Astros 5-2 after six innings.

Bernadina his his 11th homer of the year, blasting a two-run shot into the Astros' bullpen off Nelson Figueroa. And Morse, who homered in the second inning, preceded Bernadina with a line-drive double to right, scoring Danny Espinosa and Ian Desmond. It's been a good day for the players the Nationals hope will play a bigger role in 2011.

Ross Detwiler, another one of those players, is out of the game after allowing two runs in six innings. Detwiler gave up seven hits, walked two and hit a batter, but was effective in getting ground balls and keeping his pitch count down. He needed just 79 pitches to get through six innings. It's easily his best start of the year, and it puts Detwiler in line for his first win of the season.
