Tomorrow, Nyjer Morgan is eligible to return from his eight-game suspension for brawling in Florida on Sept. 1. Manager Jim Riggleman said Morgan will return to center field tomorrow, and anticipates he'll hit Morgan first or second.
"I'll just kind of play with it a little bit. I've tossed around a little bit what I want to do there," Riggleman said. "I'm happy with what (Danny) Espinosa and (Ian) Desmond have done at the top, but it might be an opportunity to look at Desmond more down in the six or seven area, someplace where we can use him to drive in some runs, because he's been a pretty good RBI guy for us wherever we've used him. Nyjer could end up hitting second tomorrow."
Morgan is hitting .258 with a .318 on-base percentage and 33 steals in 50 attempts this year.
