Ryan Zimmerman will miss his fourth consecutive game today, still bothered by strained intercostal muscles in his ribs, and manager Jim Riggleman isn't sure when he'll be back.
"It might be a little better," Riggleman said, "but not enough to change his status as to play or not."
Riggleman had said he wants to be cautious with Zimmerman, fearing the third baseman could aggravate the injury with a hard swing, miss the rest of the season and spend the first month of the offseason rehabbing.
Riggleman said he might have Zimmerman take swings in the cages, but the Nationals won't play him until things change for the better.
