The Scottsdale Scorpions were back in action on Monday, losing 5-4 to the Peoria Saguaros. Three Nationals prospects saw action in the game, and for pitcher Adam Carr, Monday's game was a rough one.
Carr allowed a pair of runs on three hits in two innings, blowing a lead for the Scorpions in the sixth inning. He had only given up one run in his first three AFL appearances.
Infielder Stephen Lombardozzi led off again for Scottsdale, DHing on Monday and going 1-for-3 with a walk. He also scored a run, and has scored seven times in as many games in the Arizona Fall League.
And lastly, catcher Derek Norris was 0-for-2, but managed a walk, as he usually does, and drove in a run on a sacrifice fly. He's hitting .286 in the AFL, and continues to show a plate approach that's among the more advanced in the Nationals' system.
