Bryce Harper will start the Arizona Fall League title game for the Scottsdale Scorpions, batting seventh and playing right field. It's the last opportunity for the 18-year-old to showcase his talents in the elite prospect league, where he's built an impressive case for himself in his first taste of pro ball.
Harper hit .343 in his first nine games in the AFL, playing on Wednesdays and Saturdays as part of the Scorpions' taxi squad, posting an 1.039 OPS and showing off his strong arm in right field.
The Nationals have a large complement of prospects in Scottsdale's starting lineup; infielder Stephen Lombardozzi will lead off and play shortstop, and catcher Derek Norris bats fourth. Right-hander Sammy Solis, the team's second-round pick in 2010, will start for the Scorpions.
