No Nats news here today -- and I'm hoping Mike Rizzo cooperates and keeps it that way while I'm working through my turkey and watching one of three lopsided football games. I just wanted to check in and wish all of you a happy Thanksgiving.
This has been my dream job since I was a kid, and I never let myself forget that, even on the days it's frustrating. And one of the things that makes it so much fun is the knowledge that people care about what you're writing. Whether you love it or hate it, thanks for reading it, thinking about it and reacting to it. That's a rewarding thing, and I appreciate all of you for it.
So wherever you might be, and whomever you might be with, have a safe and happy Thanksgiving. And please accept this culinary tip from my Midwestern upbringing: Never underestimate the usefulness and versatility of Jell-O as a side dish.
Oh, and one MASN-related note for you: MASN is airing the BB&T Classic next Sunday, Dec. 5, featuring a triple-header of college basketball at the Verizon Center (American-Florida, George Washington-Navy and Maryland-Temple). And as a thank-you to active and retired military personnel, MASN is giving away 1,500 free tickets to the tournament. Head here to get your free tickets.
