I will be out of the office - and by the office, I mean my couch - for the next nine days on vacation. I'm heading to the West Coast with my wife, going to Napa Valley for a few days before meeting a couple of our best friends in Las Vegas.
Don't get too excited about the latter part of that trip; we're probably the least likely candidates for some good Vegas stories that you'll ever find. But then again, it is Vegas.
At any rate, I'll be away from this blog until next Saturday, but by no means will it be devoid of Nats news. Pete Kerzel will be filling in for me, so be sure to check back here for the latest news on the Nationals' offseason developments.
And when I'm back in town, we'll get started with our Nationals offseason roundtables. We'll have one of these events every couple weeks; it'll be your chance to ask about any Nationals topics on your mind. I'll share some details on what I think the Nationals are up to this winter, and we might dive into a baseball book or two. Essentially, these events will just be a time to get together and talk baseball over some food or drinks.
I'll talk to you when I'm back in town on the 13th, and Pete will keep you posted on all the Nationals news until then.
