It was a pretty quiet day for Nationals prospects on Monday, as the Scottsdale Scorpions lost a 7-4 game to the Peoria Javelinas. Only three players played, and of those three, Derek Norris was the only one who registered a hit.
Norris drove in two runs with a double to left in the fourth inning, and finished the day 1-for-4. Michael Burgess and Stephen Lombardozzi, both struggling at the plate, hit eighth and ninth, respectively. Both of them went 0-for-4.
And the Nationals' prospects contributed to a bad day for the Scorpions in the field, too. Norris made a pair of throwing errors, and Lombardozzi made a fielding error at shortstop.
