The Nationals' PR staff just sent an e-mail to commemorate what happened six years ago today, when the principals of the recently-relocated Montreal Expos announced at Union Station that the team would now be called the Washington Nationals.
So, in that spirit, I wanted to take a minute and give you a chance to share your memories of that day. How optimistic were you at that point? Did you go to Union Station that day? What were your feelings about the name and the logo? And how much of that optimism do you retain today?
Feel free to trade some stories, memories and opinions. I'd love to hear them.
